PayMV QR — Favara payment codes

Create a Maldives Favara merchant QR that already includes the amount and an optional reference, so payers scanning in the BML or MIB app type less and make fewer mistakes. Enter your BML account number and the name on the account. Everything runs locally in your browser with the open qrcode library — no third-party QR APIs, and your account number never leaves the device.

How to use

  1. Enter your BML account number and the name on the account, as your bank shows it.
  2. Optionally add the MVR amount, your mobile number and a reference (letters and digits).
  3. Download the PNG, copy the payload, or Share. Scan it yourself once before sending it to a customer.

What is a Favara / PayMV QR?

Favara is the Maldives instant-transfer network used by banks such as BML and MIB. A merchant-presented QR already carries the account, and can also embed the amount and a reference so the payer does not retype them.

Does this work with BML and MIB?

It builds a Favara merchant QR from your BML account number and the name on the account. Scan it once with your own bank app before sharing it.

Is PayMV QR free? Does it upload my account?

The generator is free. Parsing, building, and rendering all run in your browser. We never send account numbers, phone numbers, or QR payloads to a third-party QR or geo API.

Should I test before sharing?

Yes. Before sharing, scan the generated QR once with your own bank app and check that the name and amount match. Cancel the transfer without confirming.
